About the Event
This presentation is aimed at helping community members and clinicians better understand Historic Trauma in the context of the successes and challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ Older Adults. We will learn about the earlier years of the LGBTQIA+ rights movement, as well as the causes and symptoms of Historic Trauma and ways to help ourselves and others overcome them.

About the presenter: Ben Walker, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a decade of experience serving and advocating for Older Adults and for TGNC/LGB/Kinky/Poly/Queer individuals and relationships. He specializes in working with Trauma, Grief/Loss/Dying, Sexuality, Gender, Anxiety, and Depression. He is currently working to supplement his clinical work with a certification in sex therapy.
