Acerca del evento

“The greatest gift we can make to others is our true presence.” - Thich Nhat Hanh.

Yoga is “union”, connection with mind body as well as with the world around us in nature and human relationships. In this gathering, we will create mindful space for an experiential activity in deep listening and being heard. With a structured format and guidelines, we will observe what it is like to be completely heard and what it is like to listen fully. We will begin with a short mindfulness meditation in nature to connect with ourselves and our environment. I’ll discuss the concepts of holding space and instructions for a co-listening activity. Individuals will pair up (it’s best if you don’t know someone, so feel free to come alone). After, we will take time to process and learn from the experience.

About the Presenter: Christina Sprayberry is a psychotherapist trained in yoga and mindfulness meditation. Her training includes a 200 Hour yoga training at Pavones Yoga Center in Costa Rica; Certification in Integrating Psychotherapy and Yoga with Live Oak/Bloom Yoga; and Mindfulness Meditation at the University of Chicago. She provides individual yoga and meditation sessions in a safe affirming space combining mindfulness meditation, gentle yoga movements, and stillness in restorative positions that emphasize connection with mind and body.
