About the Event
You’re invited! Come together with friends, neighbors, strangers as we meet to honor together the various feelings individually and/or collectively experienced since winter 2020 through drawn, written, spoken or sung art.
Please join us in co-creating a safe space to creatively express and share feelings and experiences related to the pandemic through art and writing.
All feelings are welcomed, be it collective grief, anger, frustration, disbelief, pressure, shame, etc. By acknowledging and sharing our emotions and experiences we can begin to see we are not alone. Although this pandemic is not yet over, we can start to let go of these unprecedented times and process how the impact of COVID-19 worldwide pandemic has changed us.
Please feel free to bring any of your own art you would like to share with others: poems, songs, drawings, etc.
Event will be outdoors from 2pm – 4pm. Facilitator Carolyn Stypka will offer some suggestions for being creative with individual art, and collective work. After some introductions, there will be open-ended work stations available to connect with others and create. We will have an optional community share from 3:30pm – close at 4pm.
Small snacks will be available. Please bring your own beverage.
Disclaimer: This event is family friendly and open to all ages. No art background required. All people are very encouraged to come. Event is not therapy nor art therapy, but rather an opportunity to connect, relax, and try making some art.
