Historical Trauma and LGBTQIA Elders
Time & Location
About the Event
We often think of trauma as something resulting from an immediate experience, but research provides measurable evidence that generations pass on the effects of trauma related to historical events such as war, genocide, disasters, and both direct and systematic oppression.
This intersectional presentation will look back at the historical trauma experienced and inherited by older LGBTQIA adults while providing questions for meaningful reflection alongside recommendations for better stewardship of trauma within our communities.
Saturday, October 10th, 2020 from 3pm - 5pm
Seminars are scheduled to take place on Zoom. Participants will be emailed a Zoom link before the workshop.
