About the Group
Do you believe that love is the most powerful force in the world? That with every challenge, we can choose to grow through love and compassion for ourselves and others? That the purpose of life is to create more love and beauty? That as we approach our own shadows, judgments & limitations to reach for greater self compassion, understanding & soul wisdom, we gain greater love, understanding, acceptance & peace with others? And, that the change we seek starts from within?
”Love is a deep connection that operates on respect, affection, and kindness. It isn’t something that you can simply offer or receive, but it requires cultivation and growth over time. It occurs when you allow your most vulnerable self to be seen, developing a truthful relationship in the process.
You can only love someone else as much as you love yourself. If you don’t believe that you’re loveable, you will put up walls that will prevent others from developing sincere relationships with you. The root of self-loathing is shame, and, if you allow it to dictate your life, you won’t have the capacity to love or be loved.
Love removes the pressure of adhering to cultural and societal demands. It allows you to live your most authentic life with (others) who value you for who you are, not who they expect you to be, removing shame in the process. With shame out of the equation, scarcity culture can’t survive because it no longer has a method of controlling your behavior.”
-Hannah Aster on Brené Brown’s teachings on wholeheartedness
This circle is an opportunity for like-minded and wholehearted individuals to meet every other week to reflect and share insights, wisdom, and support from a space of authenticity, vulnerability, and openness.
As a psychotherapist and a spiritual coach, Lisa Catania, LCSW, will offer different themes each week for the group to explore together, such as: the importance of emotions, forgiveness, owning our shadows, intergenerational trauma healing, the wounded healer, the hero’s journey, divine feminine and divine masculine, the way of light workers and way-showers. Besides discussion, we will have group meditations and other activities that will enhance the gifts from our hearts and souls.
This ongoing circle will meet every other week and will have a duration of 6 to 12 months depending on participants' ongoing interest and commitment. Payments are required for groupings of five sessions at a time.
”We cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known, and when we honor the spiritual connection that grows from that offering with trust, respect, kindness and affection”. ~Brené Brown
“True belonging is the spiritual practice of believing in and belonging to yourself so deeply that you can share your most authentic self with the world and find sacredness in both being a part of something and standing alone in the wilderness. True belonging doesn’t require you to change who you are; it requires you to be who you are.” ~Brené Brown
