About the Event
Creating a regular self-care routine that includes movement of your physical body assists you in better serving yourself. Have you thought recently about what you are giving to yourself?
Becoming more comfortable and aware of your body can allow both your body and mind to be more in sync, as well more relaxed. Stretching and breathing intentionally are methods of combating stress and inviting your parasympathetic nervous system to take the wheel.
This workshop will teach about the stress response, and the benefits of intentionally inviting relaxation and calmness. Carolyn will lead participants in practicing relaxation activities using stretching, movement, breath, and affirmations. Stretching can be done sitting in a chair, standing, or on the ground. There will be time for creating your own self care plan for your at home practice. **If you want to try out some floor work, please be prepared with your own blanket or yoga mat.**
