Emotions are a natural part of the human experience. Throughout the years, something consistently communicated by the youth I work with is: “Emotions are scary”.  Experiencing emotions isn’t the scary part, more often the source of fear is the uncertainty of what to do when messy emotions surface. Questions like:  What is this emotion I am experiencing? Who can I trust and with whom can I safely share my emotions? Why do my emotions seem to take over? Is there a right way to express my emotions? It is difficult for anyone to navigate the mixed messages about how emotions “should” be expressed. Additionally, making the decision to seek out support

I work with clients and families, helping them develop critical coping, learning and communication skills that will enhance their daily living.

 I am a licensed clinician with over 15 years of experience providing psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, and young adults. I am committed to helping individuals and families set and achieve realistic goals.  I use various therapeutic approaches such as: Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution Focused, Strength Based, and Problem Solving therapies to effectively address a client’s individual treatment needs. I specialize in the treatment of Trauma, ADHD, Anxiety, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Depression, Stress Management,  and other behaviors that impact daily functioning.
